Welcome Well offers free support to adult social care employers in the Cheshire and Merseyside region who are currently employing, onboarding, or advising internationally recruited care workers.

Whether you’re a home care agency, residential care provider, or supported living service, our aim is to help you create a safe, informed, and supportive environment for your international staff—so they can settle well and stay well.

What We Offer Employers

We work alongside you—not instead of you—to provide guidance, practical tools, and direct support for your internationally recruited staff. Here’s how we help:

📞 Referral Support & Early Help

  • Easy referral pathways for any staff who may need help—confidential and non-judgmental.
  • Access to a helpline / WhatsApp chat for workers who are in difficulty (e.g. housing, visa stress, financial hardship).
  • Safeguarding escalation advice for employers where needed.

🌍 Cultural Awareness & Peer Support

  • Help to address cultural barriers and foster inclusion in the workplace.
  • Access to peer-led sessions and community-based activities.
  • Multilingual resources and signposting to relevant local and national services.

📢 Ongoing Engagement & Advice

  • Regular updates on common concerns and patterns emerging across the region.
  • Invitations to training sessions, forums, and employer briefings.
  • Consultation on recruitment trends, community dynamics, and ethical practices.

✅ Who Can Access Employer Support?

To access support, your organisation must:

  • Be a regulated adult social care provider
  • Employ one or more internationally recruited care workers
  • Be based in one of the nine eligible boroughs:
    Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens, Warrington, or Wirral
